Acara ini diadakan bersama dengan Fakultas Kedokteran UGM dan RSUP Dr. Sardjito, serta berbagai asosiasi medis di Indonesia (Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI), Perhimpunan Dokter Transfusi Darah Indonesia (PDTDI), Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Patologi Klinik Indonesia (PDS PatKLIn, International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT)). Ini jadi kongres apheresis internasional pertama di Kawasan Pasifik Tenggara sejak tahun 2000.
Acara ini akan mencakup pembahasan mengenai apheresis donor dan aplikasi klinis komponen turunannya, seperti obat turunan plasma dan trombosit. Selain itu, akan ada program pendidikan yang ekstensif untuk para profesional kesehatan dan dokter.
