Thromboelastographic Platelet Assay (AA/ADP)

Thromboelastographic Platelet Assay (AA/ADP) is designed for use with a Haemostasis Analyzer to assess platelet aggregation function in patients receiving antiplatelet therapy targeting the ADP receptor and/or the arachidonic acid (AA) pathway.

Antiplatelet agents that inhibit ADP receptors, block the AA pathway, or combine both mechanisms are now widely recognized as a standard preventive strategy for coronary heart disease. These therapies play a critical role in reducing thrombotic events following Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).

While antiplatelet therapy has been broadly endorsed by international medical associations, growing clinical evidence highlights significant inter-patient variability in drug response. This variability underscores the importance of objectively evaluating platelet aggregation function to ensure therapeutic effectiveness and optimize patient outcomes.
